- the structure of the skin, methods of administration by injection, examples and differentialuse of injection techniques
- procedure(s) for administration of medication by subcutaneous injection
- correct method for the use and disposal of equipment for injection
- signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis and its management
- principles of adult learning and relevance to the instruction of patients to safely selfadminister medication by subcutaneous injection
- signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis and patient instruction in the recognition of signs andsymptoms of anaphylaxis and the procedure for managing this appropriately
- patient instruction in the procedure for self administration of medication by subcutaneousinjection
- use of appropriate safe, (painless) and correct subcutaneous administration technique usinginjection trainer and demonstrators
